HISTORY
Believing in God’s Word and Spirit
Reverend Kwaku Adu-Wusu founded A-Life Baptist Church and officially registered it on December 14, 2004. However the first church service was held on January 9th, 2005, at his residence, in Cedar Hill, Texas. He was born in Ghana. Coming from a non-Christian, Muslim background, he converted to Christianity and received mentorship under a seasoned minister of the gospel while in Ghana. Having recognized the call of God, He availed himself for the work of the ministry and pursued biblical studies for Ministry at Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. He has a heart for missions and to bring the nations to Christ. After much prayer, waiting on the Lord, and affirmation by his dearest wife and partner in ministry, Mrs. Comfort Adu-Wusu, the Lord Jesus entrusted into their hands, the vision with a scripture found in John 10:10.
The birth of this vision came with clear directives from God to lead people to salvation, and to empower their God given potentials to achieve their calling and dreams. They are blessed with three children; Kwame, Yaa and Akua. In retrospect, we recall the challenging days of waiting for laborers (the Aarons and Hurs), searching for a permanent place of worship, managing our new church, and a full time job. Graciously, God has been faithful, and still keeping us strong. In abundance of God’s mercy and grace, today we have about ten (10) countries representing the nations in our congregation and can testify that people of all ages had received Christ, both at home and in the mission field. In many ways, God is providing the lamb for the sacrifice. Therefore, we remain grateful to God and thankful to all, called in His Vineyard to serve and support the ministry.

Leading people to salvation; Instilling Christ-like love and compassion; Fellowshipping as a diverse people group, and Equipping people through discipleship to impact the world.

MISSION
Equipping the saints, influencing the world
We are a tight knit multinational congregation with the desire to reach the world with the gospel of Christ. If you are looking for a spiritual home and family, we would love to invite you to be part of us. We exist to teach the African Diaspora how to realize their potential which in turn positions them to live an abundant Spirit-filled life rooted in Christ’s love. To take this group of people and disciple them intensely in the Word of God, teach them the abundant life and help them stand victoriously in life. Our goal is to see people walk in and live the abundant life that the word of God teaches, moving from mediocrity and defeat to a vibrant and thriving “abundant” life.

The Word
The Bible is God’s Word–holy, divinely inspired, beautifully written, and immensely powerful. This is the first and final authority in all matters of life.

Prayer
We are a community of believers that are committed to prayer. Prayer connects earth to Heaven and Heaven to Earth.

Worship
This is how we express our love, adoration, admiration, and wonder at God’s presence. The Christian breathes in God’s goodness and exhales worship.

Compassion
Compassion is defined as a feeling of deep sympathy for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.

We called to be global Christians with a global vision because our God is a global God.

Our Statement Of Faith.
This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God, speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind and is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of A-Life Baptist Church’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Pastoral Leadership is A-Life’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
